Zacharie LégerPh.D. CandidateZacharie Léger completed his undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Toronto in 2016. There he completed research on the optimization of direct light coupling from a fibre optic cable to a plasmonic metal grating for sensor applications under the supervision of Prof. Kherani, along with the use of fast pulsed gates for scalable trapped ion quantum computing, under the supervision of Prof. James. Wanting to continue research in the advancement of quantum technologies, he joined Prof. Helmy to pursue an M.A.Sc. in photonic. He is currently working towards developing a non-degenerate entangled photon source tailored to enable communications between quantum system through fibre-based quantum networks. |
Han LiuPh.D. CandidateLiu Han received his bachelor degree in optical engineering from Tianjin university, PR China, in 2016. He is now pursuing his M.Asc degree, focusing on designing nonlinear waveguide for photon pairs generation. |
